Egyptian Entrepreneur Becomes First Arab Elected as President of International Council for Small Business

Egyptian entrepreneur, Ahmed Osman, has been elected as president of the International Council for Small Business (ICSB), making him the very first Egyptian and Arab to hold the position.

Based in Washington DC, ICSB is a a global platform that provides financial and logistical support for small and medium-sized enterprises, with micro-finance initiatives already established in Asia and South America. Osman is no stranger to the field in that he is the founder and CEO of Chrome, an Egyptian-based project and construction management firm.

Founded in 1955, the council’s board of directors is comprised of 5,000 members from 85 countries, ranging from from academics and policy makers, to industry professionals and entrepreneurs, alongside government representatives.
