It's getting hot in here! Sorry, had to be done.
We’ve seen some pretty big names from the world of music pass through this neck of the woods over the last few years, each time inciting a wave of contagious, uncontrollable, gasp-filled excitement among the masses.
Just this year alone, we’ve seen a certain seemingly immortal rock band perform at the Pyramids and a certain in-demand South African DJ headline a festival in El Gouna – and it’s to the Red Sea paradise that we return for what is, in no uncertain terms, shaping up to be a huge night.
As part of this year’s El Gouna Beach Polo tournament, US rappers, Nelly and Tyga, and chart-topping dance-pop princess, Inna, are set to take to the stage at the four-day event’s after-party, adding the cherry on top of what is set to be a busy few days.
Now in its third year, the annual beach polo event by the Cairo-based Kings Polo Academy is set to take over El Gouna with a string of other exclusive events and, of course, the ournament,, with six teams set to compete for the Kings Silver Cup at a specially-built beach polo arena by Le Maison Bleu.
Though still fairly young, the event has become a big date on El Gouna’s already very glitzy calendar and stands as the only official polo tournament of Egypt. Spearheaded by polo enthusiast, Mohamed El Sewedy, the tournament is just one piece of the puzzle that is polo in Egypt, as Kings Polo Academy looks to put Egypt on the sport of kings’ map.
