It still ain’t winter weather, and summer weather means the beach, and the beach means sandals. But that doesn’t mean you have to compromise style, or comfort either, for that matter. It would be wrong to think of these as sandals for the beach though, as they can be worn in many different occasions and styles. Zee have blown up in Egypt in recent years, with people really feeling their cool designs, and more importantly, the comfort of these sandals that have created a major buzz in recent times, and it's all because of these cute little feet accessories. “We initially focused on the comfort of the sandals. All the materials used for the sandals are imported from Spain, but are assembled in Egypt. It took us around two years to educate people working in production here in Egypt, to really get the sandals to European standards. The sole is made from cork, a tree found in Spain”, said Mr Zee, co-founder of Zee.
But Zee sure didn’t compromise on the design of their sandals. “The second challenge was to make the sample look fashionable, and we did that by partnering with Okhtein, researching the fashion side of the sample, and finding out how we can create a more glamorous image for the brand, for example by sponsoring the recent El Gouna Film Festival”, added Noureldin.
The prices of the sandals are definitely reasonable, with the founder claiming that due to the high quality, these sandals could be selling for double the price, even more.
We’re dreading the winter days coming up where our boots are gonna have to come out of the back of the closet and having to stuff our feet in these huge shoes.
But let’s leave those problems to later, cause the weather’s still beautiful and your feet would really appreciate walking in sandals, at least for a couple of months still.
Walking on an oak tree from Spain is bound to make you feel some type of way, and Zee proves that comfort and style aren't mutually exclusive if you find the right balance.
